Block RIAA Servers

      I n an attempt to assist other companies, administrators, webmasters and individuals in blocking the illegal attempts by a legitimate, albeit a "shady" organization from compromising the security of my servers and workstations, I am actively blocking all incoming communications from RIAA servers and networks.

      As noted from my index page, I am contrary, I am an asshole, and I am cantankerous. However, I am also a systems administrator. I have been authorized by my employers to do the following: I am setting up "honey nets" to combat the illegal penetration of our networks. I will be setting up client workstations with files simulating copyright mp3 & movie files with the approximate size of 2-4 minute mp3's & 1-2 hour movie files (divx, vcd, mpg, etc). I will run whatever P2P sharing software that's popular at a given time.

     Upon finding illegal activity on our networks, we will block all access attempts from said IP Addresses and report this activity to law enforcement. We shall further challenge said attempts through criminal and/or civil courts.

      Even though Federal Law may have "loopholes", if/when someone attempts to hack into my networks/systems, they're also breaking State Law. Federal Law doesn't supercede State Law, if there's no coverage under Federal Statutes. Therefore, if loopholes do exist, my State Law will cover the illegal activities taking place.
